Bathtime Fun!

Here I am having some fun in the bath tub. I've graduated to the big boy bath seat, but I can't reach my toys in that. So, Daddy took me out and held me while I splashed and played like a wild man!

Howdy!

Mommy took these pictures of me today wearing my polo shirt and khaki pants. I looked just like my Dad and like such a little man. I had to wear it before it gets cool again and today was a perfect day. Tomorrow I'm going to the daycare lady again. Today I napped for a grand total of about one hour. I only slept for 15-30 minutes at a time and Mommy is about to pull her hair out trying to figure out what to do with me! The weird thing is that I'm not really fussy when I wake up. Maybe I'm just a power napper?? Is there such a thing for babies? Tonight I was fine eating supper and taking my bottle. Then I had a bath, got into my jammies and played for a little while before we read our night-night story. Then it was passy and about three rocks before I was out...I got up just to type this for you. Shhh! Don't tell Mommy b/c she thinks I'm still asleep. It'll be our little secret. ;-) Anyway, I hope tomorrow at daycare won't be too traumatic for me. I think Mommy is going to need some Valium...again. She is very worried, but deep down, she knows that I'll be okay. The weather is supposed to be very bad and she was having second thoughts about taking me, but Daddy reminded her that I'll have to go no matter what the weather is when she goes back to work. It's going to be interesting. Think about me tomorrow! Love you guys!

I've been eating a lot lately too on top of my other exploits. Tonight I finished off some prunes (only a few bites b/c I really don't like them), had a little cereal and tried green beans for the first time. I liked them almost as much as sweet potatoes. No gagging or funny faces to speak of. During my meals, I also have a bottle of milk handy to take the edge off of my hunger and then later, to wash this solid stuff down. It allows more time to actually try the food b/c I don't get too mad from being a hungry boy and wanting it NOW! The only things left to try are carrots and bananas in the first foods line. I guess then I'll be able to mix and match without fear of getting sick/having an allergic reaction to anything. Oh, and I will have to try peaches too. I'm not feeling too good about those since they'll probably be similar to prunes, applesauce and pears, all of which cause me to shudder with every bite. Hopefully, I'll get used to them! 

I like tummy time now!!

I am a hap-hap-happy guy in these pics. You'd never know that I have teeth trying to break through my gums, would you? A lot is going on with me. For one thing, I like to be on my stomach now. Sometimes, at night I even roll over onto my tummy and wake myself up. I like to sleep on my side with my leg kicked up (like my Mommy does) now. I've got the teeth thing going on and I can sit up pretty well now. I'm almost able to be all by myself sitting up, but I still get off balance, so Mommy has to be there to catch me. Sometimes, I get so focused on the toy I'm playing with that I forget that I'm sitting up by myself and I go backwards. As Martha Stewart would say, Moms are a good thing!

I don't think I told you guys, but I've been branching out a little over the past couple of weeks. Last Monday I went to my daycare lady's house for the first time. Mommy could only leave me for four hours, and it was a good thing. I was pretty ticked off about being somewhere new without all of my comforts of home. I was okay for a while and I played, but then when I got tired, I had a rough time. The babysitter is very nice. She understood that it was just different than what I'm used to. Mommy has been working to help me sleep and nap better on my own, but today at my MawMaw's house, I still had a hard time with that. Other than that I had a great time with her. She gave me bottles, read the 5 Little Monkeys book and took me outside with her to get the mail. I might go back there next Monday if she isn't busy. This week, I'm going to daycare on Wednesday again. I think I heard Mommy saying she was going to leave me for longer this time. I hope I can get some sleep. If I can get that taken care of, I'll be just fine!

Cricket is Crazy!

My poodle, Cricket, is C-R-A-Z-Y! She tries to hog the spotlight when Mommy and I are having a photo session. She loves to give me big sugars and roll around on the floor. Don't you just love the top pic where we are both smiling for the camera?

Out Enjoying the Weather

Today Mom and I went for a walk to the bank. The weather was so nice we just had to get outside. I am able to sit up now, so I can ride in my big-boy stroller. I'm also sitting up and using one of those suction cup bath seats during bath time. When I play, I do pretty well, but I still fall over to one side or the other pretty regularly, especially when I'm concentrating on my getting my toys! As far as eating goes, I've been privileged enough to try applesauce, peas, sweet potatoes, prunes, squash and tonight...pears. They got the same reaction that the applesauce did (as I'm sure most of you remember from the classic pics of me!). Mommy thought I would like it since it's sweet, but I made a face with every spoonful. Go figure. No teeth to speak of as of yet, but I think I'm working on it. Mommy says she feels some bumps, but I don't know. All I know is I have to put everything in my mouth and when I do, it's a drool fest. I was concentrating pretty hard in these pics and didn't really smile much for Mommy. I try to figure out every harnessing device...in my strollers, car seats, bouncers, etc. I'm gonna bust outta here as soon as I figure these things out! See you later. Come back to visit me soon!

Sleepy Head

Mommy and I went to visit Granny, Grandpa and Uncle Nick tonight since Daddy had a football game in Tallahassee. We had a good time just hanging out and playing with the toys they have there. I'm starting to get bored with the stuff at my house. I'm accepting donations if anyone would like to contribute! Well, I had so much fun that I conked out on the way home. Don't I look like a little angel baby?

 

Prunes...not so much.

Mommy gave me some prunes today just for a try. The sweet potatoes really changed my movements (if ya know what I mean), so the prunes were the next best option. I only had a few spoonfuls before I decided that I really just wanted some milk, so hopefully the repercussions won't be too severe!!

These are some shots of me getting ready for bed with Daddy. You can see my little fatty hams with my nightgown pulled up. At night, it stays up over my little legs, but it doesn't really bother me. Mommy tries not to worry about me being too cold. I have a few other pics that I'll post. Later guys!
