Feeling better

Hey guys! I posted some pre and post illness pics today. This is a picture of me doing one of my many "tricks" (in Mommy's job, they call them oral-motor exercises!! :-) We practice sticking out our tongues and moving them around and doing funny things with our lips, even making silly noises. She says that's good for my mouth muscles, but I just think it's hilarious! I love to be a copy cat! I am feeling much better. We went to the pediatrician on Thursday because I still had a pretty bad cough, but the doctor said it was okay and to give it a few days. Aside from my runny nose and the occasional cough, I'm doing good now. So, for now enjoy the pictures I posted today. More will follow, but it is back to school time and that means Mommy and Daddy will both be busy getting ready for their students. We will do our best! :-)

Riding in Great Granny's walker at her 80th birthday party

Can you see why I love my Uncle Nicky? I've also started to say his name..."NeeNee". I was calling for him yesterday when we went to Books-a-Million. He was looking at some stuff for his students and I thought he needed to be with me! "NeeNee!!"

Sick boy

Well, at least it's not my ears this time, but...I have the croup! I woke up this morning (Saturday) with a barking cough, wheezing, and a hoarse voice. (It has been going around the kids at my school.) Mommy and Daddy took me to the Urgent Care Center in Gulf Shores and we were lucky that the doctor there just happened to be a well-known pulmonologist. He checked me out and gave me some antibiotic and a steroid. Up until this point, I had been pretty much fine, playing in the waiting room, flirting with anyone I could get to look at me. All of that changed on the way home when I woke up from a quick nap in my car seat. I started crying and wheezing and could not breathe. I was kicking my feet in panic. Mommy and Daddy were also pretty panicked. So much so that they had turned the car around to go to the ER. But, I finally calmed down enough to start breathing normally again and get home. Once we got the steroid down (a job in and of itself), I started to breathe a lot better. I am still sick and it is probably going to be a long night with the coughing and waking up. So, no fun pictures to laugh at on this post. Positive things: eating well, drinking fluids and taking my "pink medicine" well, and took a good dose of the steroids. Hopefully, everything will continue to go well and we won't end up in the ER tonight. Think about us!

Lovin' on my Cricket!

Diapers everywhere!

Here are some pictures of me after I unloaded the new jumbo package of diapers that Mommy had just picked up. I usually have to take all of these out of the cabinets on the buffet, but she left the package out just for me this time. It makes my job a lot easier. Thanks mom for cutting out the middle man! I like to turn around an grin at my Mommy and Daddy while I pull each one out. I know they are so proud of my work (either that or they let me do it b/c it will occupy me for 2 minutes...either way, who cares?)

Fourth of July Cupcakes

Here are some pictures of me enjoying some 4th of July cupcakes courtesy of our friends at Wal-Mart. They were the little mini ones and Mommy saved me a few! (She ate the rest...by herself!) As a wise man once told my Daddy before he met her, "She ain't afraid to fix her plate!" (Thanks, Uncle Leonard!)

Freddie and Cricket

Mommy and I have fallen down on the job of providing you with some July pictures. We have been busy enjoying the summer. Soon, Mommy will have to go back to school and she is trying to get her classroom ready for the speech kids. So, here is a video of Cricket and I looking out the window and just generally being silly.
